Welcome to Women Studying the Word. My name is Meredith Beatty and early in my Christian life the Lord gave me a hunger to know him through his Word. As a young mom I was introduced to theology by reading John Piper and R. C. Sproul and that began a theological self education that led to me realizing a gift of teaching. For the past ten years I have had the privilege of teaching the Bible to women at my local church. Along the way, God gave me a burden for women to go deeper in their understanding of God and his Word. This burden has led me to pursuing a Master of Divinity at Reformed Theological Seminary in Atlanta. I still don’t know where this degree will lead me, but I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity.

During COVID I decided to invest more time writing and soon found my voice encouraging believers to think more theologically about all of life. I even launched a podcast but had to retire that in 2022 as I had a bout with cancer and then transitioned to being a part time seminary student. In my previous life I was a professional clarinet player and before cancer I ran a lot of marathons. I still play the clarinet and I hope to run some more marathons in the future.
